Change

We have no choices about what we already are, but we can wish to change ourselves. Such an aspiration gives the mind a sense of direction. But just wishing is not enough. We have to find a way of putting that wish into action. (Matthieu Ricard. Why Meditate? Shambhala Sun. September 2010)

Happiness

There are two kinds of happiness: temporary and permanent. Temporary happiness is like aspirin for the mind, providing a few hours of relief from emotional pain. Mistakes
